When contacting your seller, ensure you have the serial number of the device and proof of purchase. You should contact your reseller or dealer, not LTS directly. Keep in mind, that LTS doesn’t directly support the end-users. That allows you to create a new password. When received, they’ll send you back a reset file that you have to apply via the SADP tool. If you can’t do that, then you should export the Password Reset Request via the SADP tool and send the file to your seller. To reset an LTS DVR or NVR involves clicking the “Forget Password” on the screen and going through the steps to reset it via the security questions.
Resetting the camera will erase all the settings, but not the footage on the microSD cards. Try to use the default passwords or create a new one. The camera will reboot and it will revert to factory defaults. Once you see the reset button, power off the camera, then power it on again, and right away press and hold the reset button for 20 seconds. Most likely it will be embedded on the motherboard, although some camera versions have it located at the back. For LTS cameras the reset is quite easy, inspect or open up the camera and locate the reset button. If you can’t access your camera or recorder using the default password, then you should try to reset them.
The default IP address for LTS cameras is 192.0.0.64 and the configuration can be done using the SADP tool which is the Hikvision camera tool (that’s because the LTS are in fact Hikvision OEM running on customized firmware). When cameras get plugged into the NVR, they’ll self-activate and get the same password as the recorder. If you’re using an IP camera connected to an NVR and for some reason you want to access the camera directly via the web browser, then you should try to use the same password as the NVR.
The system prompts you to create a password the first time you run the camera or the NVR. If none of those work, then the default password was changed or you’re using a new version of LTS devices that come without any default password. If it’s a camera connected to the NVR, then the camera will automatically get the same password as the recorder. Meanwhile, the latest models are inactivated and the user sets its own password the first time the device is connected to the network.
